“Sandy Paws” is a very popular single-family cottage located on a quiet dead-end street near Banks Channel. This one-level family-oriented cottage is meticulously maintained and offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and welcomes your four-legged best friend! With all the comforts of home, ample parking, and a convenient central location it is easy to understand why this charming cottage has been a guest favorite for many years.

The open floor plan makes a perfect space to host your family while giving space for everyone to spread out. A pass-through window in the kitchen that opens to the dining room ensures that the chef of the family can always be part of the action. The kitchen table gives a cozy space for all to gather and enjoy family meals or a board game. There are two covered porches located off the front of the house that can be accessed from the dining room and living room. Furnished with tables and chairs, this is the perfect spot for watching magnificent sunsets and sound views in the evening. After watching the sun set over the Intracoastal waterway, you can sink into the comfy sofa and enjoy your favorite movie on the convenient Roku TV.

A large shaded screened-in porch off the rear primary bedroom is a great get-away spot for guests seeking some peace a quiet. Furnished with outdoor love seats, lounge chairs, lamps, and tables, this is the preferred space for curling up with a good book. At the end of the covered carport is a private fenced garden area with a charcoal grill and picnic table so that you can enjoy grilling in the beautiful beach weather and salt air. The primary bedroom has two queen beds, a private bathroom, and direct access to the back deck.

Down the hallway you will find two guest bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. There is a hall bath that services the guest bedrooms and access to the rear screened porch at the end of the hall. With 3 covered porches, plenty of outside space to lounge, and a small sandy beach that emerges at low tide at the end of the street – everyone in the family will have a great time playing in the calm waters of the Intracoastal. And don’t forget that the ocean access is just 1.5 blocks from the cottage!

Stay Requirements: Saturday to Saturday rental in Summer. Minimum of 2-night stay other seasons.
Bedding Configuration: 1 King, 3 Queen.
Parking: Off-street parking for 5+ cars. Boat trailers are allowed in the driveway.
Prohibited: Smoking, RV’s, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.
Pet Policy: Pets welcome with a nonrefundable fee. Maximum of 2 pets per reservation.

Perfect location! Had all the amenities including doggie bags, charcoal for grill, beach toys. Easy walk to beach. Quite a few dust bunnies but overall clean and comfortable.

Sandy Paws was the perfect location for our family. Inlet views and a short walk to the beach. Clean and cozy. 16 days AFTER we checked out, I received an email from Bryant Real Estate notifying us we were being charged $180.82 for breaking a door (that we did not break.) Despite five phone calls placed the week of July 10 and an email to Krystal Dorman and Daniel Perkins, we have been unable to get them on the line to discuss the charges. They charged my credit card and will not return or answer my calls. We received a brief email stating we did not need to continue to call them because they knew that we called - yet they won't call us back. The bathroom sink was clogged upon arrival and instead of complaining to Bryant Realty, we made an extra trip to store, purchased Draino and treated the clog ourselves. I regret that bit of generosity on our part now that they are charging almost $200 for something we didn't do AND being unwilling to discuss it with us. The door in question is a utility closet that is blocked by a large living chair. We had no reason to move the chair to access a door that has a deadbolt lock on it. Rent Sandy Paws (they are pet-friendly) but do NOT use Bryant Realty.

This home was perfect for our quiet little getaway. We were surprised at how well it was stocked with supplies (including beach gear!) and we appreciated the cleanliness and cute little pet friendly touches. Short walk to the beautiful beach, and the kids absolutely loved hanging out at the channel - it was great for finding crabs & shells, plus amazing sunset views. We’d definitely stay here again if we decide to go back.

Our vacation was very nice and the house is good but needs a bit of upkeep done (dishwasher is a little temperamental, salt has corroded some of the faucets, etc.) The house itself is clean and checkout was easy until we were called after the day we left, to ask us to vacate. We were over 300 miles away at that time, had used the SMS checkout. It would have been nice if they had actually knocked on the door and asked the people in the house who they were before calling and texted me to say get out.

The cottage is lovely, and we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is extraordinarily well equiped. The location is good for us - easy access to beach and we enjoy walking and biking the trail to UNCW.

The house was clean and well equipped. The first code for the front door given by Bryant Real Estate did not work. We asked for an early check in and were allowed to check in 15 minutes early, by the time we got to the house it was 4pm. The neighbors in 24 W Oxford were very loud and let their dogs roam freely, I realized I left my new bathing suit, cover up and shorts and tshirt when I got home that Saturday night. I called Bryant Real Estate and spoke to Lisa, she said she would call housekeeping and have them check and call me back, she never called back. On Monday I called Bryant Real Estate and was told that the property manager said I would have to wait until the current renters leave before housekeeping could check for my items, asked them if they could call to find out if the items were still there since I was in town. Was told a flat No! Told them I could stop by there since I was in town and was told that I would be trespassing. We have rented from Bryant Real Estate for over a decade, but after this experience and the terrible customer service, we will NOT be back. Too bad because I really like this house.

We hold our housekeeping staff to very high cleaning standards so we always appreciate positive feedback. We are disheartened to learn that our company did not meet your expectations. We strive to create memorable and enjoyable vacations and we are always saddened whenever we fall short of that mark. As stated in your contract, an early check in is not guaranteed - you signed for a 4PM check in and on a busy Saturday in the middle of peak season, 4PM is very likely. We do our best to turn over 100 houses between 10 and 4pm, as you can imagine it is quite the task so we appreciate your patience waiting for the standard check in time. There are many behind the scenes procedures that contribute to a property being ready including needing to be cleaned, inspected, maintenance cleared, owners sometimes go to the property, vendors, landscaping, our team searching for lost/found, etc. We are trying our best to get guests into the units early this year but that is inherently a gamble. We are sorry to hear you left some items behind in the property - it is always best to walk the unit before leaving to ensure you have all your personal items before vacating the home. We are not liable for anything left behind. It is not fair to the current guest to barge in on their vacation to search for your missing items especially if you (a stranger) showed up asking to check the property. As discussed previously, we promise to check the unit on the next turn day and make you aware immediately if anything is recovered. It is a shame that this upset you so much that you would not work with our locally owned company and hope you will change your mind in the future as this is just standard practice once the home is already occupied with new tenants. We wish you nothing but the best with your future rental endeavors.

We have stayed at Sandy Paws twice. We love this rental because of how close it is to the pier and the beach. Ice cream and food are a short walk, a block or two in either direction. Moreover, groceries and other restaurants are a short drive, about 5 minutes depending on what you need to grab. The home is always clean and the bedding and towels are prewrapped to open for use. We know this property is always going to be very clean and tidy when we arrive. We had an issue with the outdoor motion lights not coming on at night when we came back from fishing, however, both Bryant Real Estate and the owner responded almost immediately to resolve the issue.

Thanks for always making our stay feel like home away from home when we are at Wrightsville Beach.

This was a perfect house for my family! It was a little bit of a stroll to the beach, but only 3 or 4 houses from Banks Chanel; which made it worth it! The street was nice and quiet from lots of cars, which was especially nice for my kids to ride bikes and for us to walk our dog in peace. I loved that they provided boogie boards, chairs, and sand toys! I will definitely consider this house again in the future!
The only problem we had with this house was in the left back bedroom, the fan needs some maintenance and wish we had a different grill than a charcoal; it was a bit of a pain to light.

This was the perfect spot for our trip with small kids! The house was clean and had what we needed. The public access beach area on the channel was exactly what we needed for the kids to play and swim and we easily walked to the beach front. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

Very comfortable home, easy access to beach and sound. Inside the home everything is labeled, closets, light switches and drawers, making things easy to find. We selected Sandy Paws for its amenities, location, and pet policy. Our active grandchildren were visiting during Christmas and needed to escape to the beach. The house has great space well kept and equipped for all seasons. The manager was accessible, responding to questions before and during our stay. We look forward to staying again.

We rented the house on west oxford for 5 days while in NC for my brother’s wedding in Wilmington. My family loved the house, and so did my 2 dogs. Great size, we loved the multiple decks and also being so close to the beach. We had an amazing time.

We could not have been more pleased with accommodations at Sandy Paws. This charming and sparkling rental was spacious, well appointed, and centrally located in an attractive residential area. It was a most pleasant experience from beginning to end, and obviously due to the concerted efforts of a conscientious owner and attentive management. Lexie, our 2 year old Golden Doodle, also gave it a paws up. We hope to return, and soon.

This was a great rental. We were a little apprehensive about staying here since they allow dogs, but there as no problem. Since there was no carpeting, there were no lingering smells. I was pleasantly surprised when Bryant Realty called me about an hour before check-in time to let me know it was ready and we could go ahead inside. Since there is keyless entry, we did not have to go to their office. A nice bonus is that linens are included if you rent for at least 5 nights and our beds were made when we arrived.

The rental property was very clean upon arrival. The pictures online are very accurate. The exterior of the home had been recently painted which was a nice feature. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and having our morning coffee. The homeowners have everything labeled and some extras that the renters are allowed to use during their stay. We needed a pet friendly home and this was just perfect for us. The home is a short walk to the beach and on a very quiet street. We enjoyed evening walks around the loop at sunset. My only regret was our stay was too short. This is a very nice rental home and a beautiful beach! I would definitely recommend this rental home on Wrightsville Beach!

The house was nice and everything worked.

Here are some recommendations:

The house had a foul odor when we arrived. We opened all the doors, turned on all the fans and AC and poured cleaning solution into all of the drains. It took over an hour to get the smell out of the home. I would suggest water in all the traps, and to run the HVAC on Fan prior to guests arriving.

We all removed our shoes when entering the home and in a short while noticed that those with white socks has black bottoms. Doesn’t appear that the floors were cleaned after the last guests stay. I would recommend checking cleanliness prior to guests arriving.

Lastly, we selected this home because it could sleep 10 and allowed pets. The pull out couch should not be included as a sleeping surface. My daughter and her husband chose to sleep on a small air mattress we brought vs the pull out as it was impossible to sleep on with the thin mattress and support bar. I would suggest a dense foam topper stored in the closet to make this a useable sleeping surface.
