Ocean views and breezes await at "Madrid", a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom second floor oceanfront condo. Just steps to the beach, this unit is located in the William and Mary complex in Carolina Beach. Enjoy a day out at the beach then relax in the evening on the deck overlooking the sea.

The living room and kitchen are oceanfront, while both bedrooms are street side. The primary bedroom has a Queen bed, private bathroom and access to the private street side balcony area. The second bedroom is complete with a Queen bed, and the unit also has a sleeper sofa in the living room. Sit outside and breathe in the fresh air on the oceanfront deck which is great for outdoor dining and sunbathing.

"Madrid" is a second floor unit with wonderful views of the Atlantic. A private walkover to the beach and an outside shower are located at the rear of the building. There is assigned parking underneath the building for one car and an extra parking space is located in the concrete lot across the street.

Enjoy oceanfront views on the popular north end of Carolina Beach, NC at the William and Mary condo complex. Each William and Mary unit offers two bedrooms and is in close proximity to the restaurants, bars, shops, and Carolina Beach Boardwalk. This complex is conveniently located between the beach and the canal, where you will find calm waters and kayak access. Enjoy the complex’s private beach access and spend the day on the sand. The Carolina Beach Pier is only blocks to the north, where you can spend the afternoon fishing in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean! In the evening, head down to the Boardwalk for live music, fireworks, and fantastic dining.

Carolina Beach is located on the southern tip of North Carolina, on picturesque Pleasure Island. This family-friendly beach is perfect for surfing, fishing and collecting seashells. This is the second time staying here. It was clean when we arrived. The bathrooms didn’t have trash cans and when we messaged about it they promptly delivered 2 little trash cans. Great service. We try to eat in the condo rather than eating out so the kitchen could have used a few more things like steak knives, baking sheets, etc. But we made do. The bed in the master bedroom was wobbly (for lack of a better word) so any SLIGHT movement made the on the bed the headboard would bang off the wall. So that was annoying when trying to sleep and one person would roll over and the entire bed moved. We love the close location to the beach and the area of the beach it’s located. Close to the boardwalk. The closet was stocked with a couple good boogie boards, games, and beach chairs this year. You can hear people walking around in the unit above you but that’s to be expected in these places and it didn’t bother us. We would stay here again.

This was our first time renting in North Carolina.
the property was as discribed. Make sure to bring anything you want as spices,coffee,extra toilet paper etc, beach chairs. The unit can use some TLC many sloppy paint drips and paint needs to be updated in the hallway. The cooking pans are in sad shape. We had a couple of maintenance issues and mainteance was there within a half hour and fixed it. Very good service. It would be nice to have the higher type chairs on the patio to view over the railing, the chairs are cheap plastic. Overall the Condo was good the sunrises were great and the view is great. Everyone we inteacted with in the area was great. We would rent again if we go back to Carolina Beach.

Just thought you need to know there were several outlets that don't work, in the kitchen and dining area. And please buy some new pots and pans, the teflon 10 inch skillet is dangerous to use as it is flaking. "PFOA is a risk factor for health conditions like chronic kidney disease, liver disease, thyroid disorders, testicular cancers, low birth weight, and infertility. Most manufacturers assumed that PFOA burns off during the process of manufacture, but traces of PFOA were found in some Teflon-coated cookware."
Also, The toilet paper holder was almost falling off the wall. And we saw a couple of roaches and got two spider bites from the street side bedroom.
Other than that we had a great time.

Needing time to rest, relax, recharge and spend time with family, I found this to be a perfect spot. I was a little concerned with the mixed reviews when I booked it, but would not hesitate to book it again. Honestly, I sometimes wonder what people are looking for in a vacation rental. If a not perfect paint job on a bathroom vanity, something other than granite countertops, or a little rust on the frame of an oceanfront metal patio table are going to ruin your vacation, then don't stay here. Overall the unit is clean, bright, nicely decorated, and well kept, and for a beachfront unit, the price was great. The location and view are hard to beat. Parking is more than adequate. Bryant Real Estate was super helpful and easy to work with. Very happy with our stay.

First, Bryant was very responsive to all concerns we had regarding this rental especially after having read disturbing reviews. That said, a review of this unit is truly dependent upon your personal expectations. Overall, Bryant took care to ensure that the unit was very clean upon our arrival. The décor and furnishings are very dated and worn. Knowing that upfront we brought furniture coverings from home and everything was fine. We have vacationed at Carolina Beach for over 10 years, most of which we paid more for units that were streets back, not oceanfront and we often saw water bugs. During our entire week we DID NOT see one water bug! The unit is conveniently located within walking distance to the Boardwalk and easily accommodated our party of 4. It’s unrealistic to think that you’re getting a 5-star accommodation at the price paid.

We read all the previous reviews, and tried to adjust our expectations accordingly. Called Bryant to ask about the condition of the place, and they said there would be nothing "unsafe" about its condition. (so not setting the bar too high)
We ended up checking in the next day rather than at night and that ended up being a good idea because there were several lightbulbs out and the floors made our feet black from just unpacking the first 5 minutes. Coming in at night would have been difficult.
Bryant RE was responsive to our calls--got lightbulbs and someone to mop the floors quickly. They seemed to care.
So was there sand and some staining on the furniture ? yes Were the floor tiles cracked a lot in the hall bathroom without a working door lock? yes. Put a towel over the cracked tiles to make it easier to walk on them. Was the wallpaper and paint peeling? yes Did the vertical blinds in the master bedroom work? No, but we didn't use them or the balcony outside that room anyway.
But was it "unsafe"? No. It was "old" and in need of some basic upkeep, as my daughter put it, but it served our purposes.
WiFi was good, and the view and location also good. The chairs on the balcony are simple green plastic, and we bought a pan at the store so we could cook eggs--the non-stick pans in the kitchen were older. Plenty of dishes.
It suited our needs. I do think if Bryant RE is going to pay people to clean the condos, they should properly clean/mop the floors and vacuum the sand off the furniture, and check the lightbulbs to properly reset it for the next occupants.

Our rental was clean and in good condition when we arrived. Check in was easy with no issues. Our unit had a great view of the ocean, and close easy access to the beach. My only complaint is that we didn't have more time to stay. It was a wonderful weekend getaway.

We stayed in Unit 21c, Fold out bed was horrible, couch was stained and broken down, 2nd bathroom door locks didnt work correctly, shower was so small, and floor tile was so cracked the floor "crunched". Upon arrival a chair was broken. TV in main area had multiple remotes but we couldnt get anything to work.

The chairs on the deck were the cheap. They were tiny too. Bring your own chairs if you are larger than 130 pounds. There was a fine layer of sand over everything including the furniture and mattress pad. Furniture had to be brushed off before sitting on. Trash and recycle bins were missing. Not a personal touch. Decor ho hum. Mattresses really soft. Paint cans in cabinets. No pamphlets, no tv guide. I will complement the kitchen is stocked very well with dishes and pans.

I booked this location the morning I wanted to stay for a 2-day rental. We had to drive to the rental agency simply to open a lockbox at 4:00 p.m. to get a code to open the rental unit. Seems like they could have just sent me the rental unit code instead. Regardless, the location of the unit was great - very convenient for a walk to the action and just steps from the beach. The unit was clean. The rental agreement indicated that there would be one set of sheets per bed and some towels/bath linens included but I could opt to rent more. Upon arrival we found that there were no linens, no towels with the exception of a blanket in desperate need of replacement. I notified the rental agency as soon as we realized it but since I was still awaiting a reply we went to the nearest WalMart and purchased sheets and towels. We didn't hear back from the agency until after we checked out and nearly a week later I'm still waiting for someone to contact me as to whether or not I'll be able to submit my receipt for partial reimbursement for the purchase.

We do send out the codes electronically, but some of our properties require parking passes, and as a result, they must come by our office to avoid being ticketed or towed. I also remember that since you booked last minute, this property's linens are serviced by a vendor, and they were brought out later that evening. We are working to in-source this process to provide more real time service to avoid this delay - this process should be complete in 6-12 months. Everything was as described and what I hoped for. The only problem was the shower head in the hall bathroom - it was non-functional. We simply rotated using the back bathroom. Also, the access code had been changed, but that was a fast and easy fix. In general, it was a great little beach retreat, and the view was spectacular from this unit. A weekend wasn't long enough.

i was disappointed with the cleanliness, there was sand on the furniture and on the floor when we got there.And there were no outside trash cans to put our trash in when we left. But overall the stay was acceptable.

The vacation rental process was easy. The property was exactly as the photo's depicted. Everything at the property was in working order. The property was clean. The check-in and check out process was easy.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the beach. The property is close to the boardwalk and, to other areas such as grocery stores, Pharmacy, and restaurants. The Fort Fisher aquarium, and civil war post is a short drive south from tje property. Overall, we are happy with our stay and would return again.

Bryant Real Estate was friendly and helpful during the difficult times after Florence. We were grateful for the rental. They helped us get some WiFi even though Spectrum was still having problems (no TV because of the hurricane). The refrigerator didn't cool adequately, and the condo could use some serious updates, but it had a great ocean view and was otherwise comfortable and reasonably priced.

The beach rental was in a good location and had easy access to the beach. There was plenty to do around the area with Fort Fisher, the Aquarium and Boardwalk nearby. I would rate everything at five stars for this property and company. However, one downside is the size and location of the under house parking. I have a full-sized F150. It was extremely difficult pulling in and out with a vehicle behind me. The parking is not designed for it. If a third vehicle had been there I would not have been able to move, which would have created issues for me on several occasions.

We absolutely loved the view from the 2nd floor balcony! Overall, the condo was clean, however, we did feel that it could use a bit of 'freshening up'. The master bathroom's shower doors could be changed as well as some tiles in the smaller bathroom. The chairs on the deck were rusted, and as a result, I ruined a pair of shorts. The table and chairs could be updated. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but are not sure that we would rent the same condo again, unless updates are done. Thank you!

It was wonderful to spend a weekend at Carolina Beach. This property was fine for a weekend, and the location is perfect. The unit, however, could use a lot of work. It's very dated, and there are a lot of little things that need to be repaired. The furniture is decent, but the carpet needs to be replaced, maybe with tile. I wouldn't want to spend a week in this unit, but I would rent again from Bryant Real Estate.

A funky little beach town

2 nice large bedrooms, 2 nice large bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable, but I would only use the pullout sofa for small children...not too comfortable for adults. Very well stocked kitchen. Though the place could use a little updating it is perfect for a beach vacation.
Within an easy 10 minute walk to restaurants, bars and the center of town. Lots of activities for free all summer long...movies on Sundays, concerts on Fridays.
Midway with rides and games. The beach is beautiful. Be sure to dine at Nikki's and Havannah's. Katie's has an amazing breakfast

Good situation on the beach. Good vies from the balcon. About renovation, kitchen range is outdated. Bathrooms need an update in term of faucet . Patio SET on the balcony need a replacement

The view was gorgeous! It was very clean and in order. It could use an update as far as decor, wallpaper, etc. The only complaint was the parking! The parking is a nightmare!

Bryant Real Estate was very kind and professional. The people were very helpful. We enjoyed the beach. The condo was clean and located well. However, parking was a little tight and the unit needs updated. Otherwise, all was great.
