Historic single family home that is pet friendly! This is the second house south of Freeman Park, accessed just through the entrance. Bring your 4x4 and enjoy driving on the beach where you can truly get away from the crowds. "T.J. House" was featured in a TV special about Seal Team Six and it boasts some of the most spectacular sunrise views anywhere. You'll enjoy three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, as well as a private walkway to the beach. There is also a small screened-in porch and an outdoor shower on the ocean front deck.

There is a Queen bedroom, another with a Full bed and the third bedroom features a pyramid bunk with a Twin over a Full bed. There is also a pull-out sofa in the living room, for sleeping accommodations for up to 9. There is plenty of parking for 3 cars. Note that the washer/dryer is located in the basement which cannot be accessed from inside the home.

Make your plans now to enjoy this quaint and comfortable beachfront cottage with your family and your dogs. You're already at Freeman Park, so you'll have an expansive beach to play or relax. Bring your rods and head just a short walk to the North End pier or toss a line from the surf and test your luck. Whatever you decide to do, "T.J. House" will surely be a place you want to come back to year after year.

Occupancy 9: Sun/Sun rental in Summer. Min two night stay other seasons. Pets welcome with fee.

On May 21, 2023 we became aware that this property is being affected by nearby construction.  You may experience unpleasant environmental factors such as noise, vibrations, and even light pollution during your stay during hours of permitted construction which are outlined as 8:00AM – 6:00PM, Monday through Saturday.  We deeply regret the inconvenience but appreciate your kind understanding that these factors are not under the control of the homeowners or our management company.  Please enjoy your visit and keep a respectful distance around areas where workers or machines are present.

Bryant Real Estate, established in 1952, is a professionally operated firm that is licensed in North Carolina and hired by the property owner to manage “C216 – T.J. House” as a vacation rental.

Our stay was incredible! The beds were comfortable and we loved sitting on the porch in the mornings drinking our coffee. We will definitely be back!

I had imagined sitting on the porch listening to the waves at night....I heard the goings and comings of neighbors and had to listen to other folks' music. During the day there were noises from construction work nearby that you heard in house. We had to go out and purchase bug spray....discovered ants in kitchen and they got in our jeep! Bedrooms could use shades that block more light at night. If you don't mind noise then it's fine....you can tell it has age on it and I felt better after cleaning light switches and bathrooms...this is just me. I should have checked out location a little closer. Pictures online always look better then in person.

The place was nice. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch. We ate all of our meals out there. Kitchen was well stocked.
Two complaints - no DVD player as advertised, and the walk to the beach once the walkway ends is quite treacherous. Slippery with rocks and no railing. Also, the brush needs to be cut back.

We apologize that their was not DVD player at the property, we will have our team double check and remove this item if it is not longer at the property. The owners are actually rebuilding the walking at the end of October 2022, so hopefully this will help towards the end of the walkway!

Nice location. Wonderful stay at the beach. House was clean. Could use some updates, some boards were loose on the deck, the trail to the beach could be trimmed back. Overall great property.

We had an enjoyable time. Loved that the house was next door to Freeman Park which gave us space to move about. The house was in working condition. Screened-in porch, water pressure, bedroom space, and back porch were all very nice. The couch was a bit uncomfortable, master bedroom tv should be on the wall, and maybe another tv in the next bedroom, also would’ve liked better cookware. Would liked to have had a vacuum and more cleaning supplies to leave things the way we found them. Proximity was great and cooking areas were nice as well.

Great location on Carolina Beach right next to Freeman Park, where dogs are allowed on the beach. The home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen has almost everything necessary to cook, but no salt, pepper, etc. The checker table in the screened in porch is awesome! The walkway to the beach and the table/chairs near the ocean are perfect! We ended up renting a grill and two umbrellas from Got Shade, a wonderful company with great customer service!

Everyone enjoyed the weekend. So nice to be able to walk out directly onto the beach. Sunrise was beautiful! Also spent the evenings on the screened porch playing board games. Good communication with property manager and keyless entry worked great. Looking forward to going back again.
