Description

The "Sailor’s Lodge" is where you will want to spend your next family vacation! Come stay at this updated classic beach cottage with heart pine wide plank flooring located right on the deep-water canal of Carolina Beach.

The kitchen is well equipped with Pier One style dishes, utensils, and cookware to prepare family meals. Walk out on the waterfront deck where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset over the horizon or picnic in the small screened in area. The cottage features three bedrooms and a full bath with a stand-up shower only on the main level. The primary bedroom has a Queen bed and hosts a flat screen television to watch on those lazy mornings in bed. The second bedroom has two Twin beds and is perfect for the kids. The front street side bedroom has a Queen bed.

On the ground level you will find the Tiki room, where you can open the windows and let the cool summer breeze flow through. Sit on the bar stools sipping a cold beverage, watch a game on the flat screen, or organize a foosball tournament with your family - there are endless possibilities. For your convenience there is a half bathroom located here also. After a day at the beach you may consider a walk out on the dock where you can sit to watch the boats come into the harbor after a day of fishing, but currently there is not a floating dock for boats to tie up. There is an enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water.

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this quaint little cottage on the sound front in Carolina Beach. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the keyless entry was very convenient. The half bath in the game room on the 1st floor came in very handy as the home only has one full bath. Bryant Reality maintenance team was very responsive to a request to resolve a very small bathroom sink drain issue - Thank you Bryant Reality!

This was a very cute, clean, updated house on the sound side, only a block from the beach. Great location on the water and right across from beach access. It had a back porch/deck for sitting and watching the sunsets as well as a small dock for fishing.

A very efficient house with 3 BR to sleep 6 and a kitchen and Liv Rm. There is also a small game room downstairs with a half bath. It has a TV and foosball table (we did not use). This is accessible by going outside and down the stairs. (Great for kids to get away from the parents)

I would definitely recommend staying here if you want beach access and water views close to downtown. We walked there each night, the Fat Pelican was a fun bar.

One thing to note (not a deal breaker but good to know): the house is spartan when it comes to supplies. There isn't even salt. There are no linens. You must BYO any consumable item, tho there was TP and bath towels. There was only one supplied garbage bag. There is also no kitchen table, but you can eat at the island or Liv Rm coffee table. Cooking supplies were decent enough too.
There is parking for 4 cars as well.

Bryant Realty was great, very friendly and easy to work with and I would recommend them too.

Daniel, We are glad you loved this property as much as we do! Linens are provided with your rental - bath towels and bed linens are wrapped in cellophane and placed on the beds. We will reinstate bedmaking in 2023. When sending our confirmation information, we also provide a link to a "what to bring" webpage which details what will be and what will not be at the property. The week stay at the Sailor's Cottage was a great experience. We had dock access on the canal and the boys fished each evening. The beautiful sandy Carolina Beach was a block and a half walk away. The beach house was spacious for many friends to visit during our stay, and the Carolina Beach Boardwalk was a mile down the drive, with live music, dining and rides. We enjoyed beautiful sunset views over the canal each evening sitting in the porch swing. A most relaxing week.

Great location with easy access to the beach and nice views of the inlet and marinas. A little success fishing from the dock. An easy walk to the boardwalk for Island Burgers, Britts Donuts, and Fentoni's Pizza.The place was comfortable and well equipped for resting. Cooking utensils and equipment were adequate but spare as one might expect. Bring your favorite knife or skillet to enjoy local seafood. Bryant Real Estate very responsive to exterior property conditions that did not impact the stay but would likely worsen and impact the property with inclement weather.

My daughter, granddaughters and myself loved this house, the morning coffee on the back porch looking at the canal & boats, easy 1/2 block to beach entry, the house is very comfortable, furnished nicely. Easy entry & exit. We would choose this a house again

The home was perfect for our group of 2 adults & 4 teens.Location was incredible; right on the sound to watch boats go by & sunsets + just a short 1 block walk to the public beach access. Couldn't ask for a better location. The kitchen had all the basic necessities & the decor was beach perfect. Beds were very comfy, room for 6 to eat at the kitchen island & ample room in living area for watching tv. The lower level 1/2 bath & outdoor shower were perfect for 2 teens to take over so upper bath didn't get crowded. A/C worked great keeping us cool in the high humidity & heat. The personal dock & lower deck swing were an additional place to watch the sunsets & boaters. We really enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend for a family of 4-6. I would not recommended for 2 families due to the 2nd bathroom location.The only negatives we had were the lower level rec room (TV & Foosball) had no AC & the fan was broken. Teens kept the 2 doors open for a cross breeze but a window unit would make that space more comfortable. A sofa or a couple of chairs would also make it more user friendly since there is a TV. Teens had nowhere to sit. Another issue we had but no fault of the home & is part of beach living, cockroaches come out at night & were all around the lower decks & rec room. Some made their way upstairs into kitchen & bathroom. Yuck! Other than that, look no further & book your trip! It's a BEAUTIFUL home that we hope to return to!

Location was perfect with rear porch (both screened and unscreened) facing the bay providing beauty and activity on the water. Home is only about 200 yards in the other direction from the ocean with direct access one street away.

Home was perfect for us as a couple, and would be great for two couples or a couple with children! Might be a little tight with three couples/6 people. All the necessary conveniences were there. Extremely clean and ready for use.

We would come back!

Recently stead a few days at the Sailer's Lodge in Carolina Beach the rental company provided multiple emails and instructions prior to my stay that made it easy to find and made me know exactly what to do. From the time I arrived at the unit and opened the door everything was laid out so nice the unit is BEAUTIFULLY decorated & very clean the furnishings and attention to detail throughout the unit can really be noticed it really has everything you need to make you feel right at home. The sofa and beds are all very comfy which is also a huge plus and let's take a moment to talk about the views off the back decks weather watching the sunrise or sunset or just the boats passing by the views are absolutely breathtaking & very close access to everything near by, would most definitely stay again.

This home was perfect for our family. Majority of the time at the house was spent on the top deck watching the boats go by, soaking in some sun and family. The inside is super cute, and there is another bathroom downstairs! We did not know that from the listing, but there are in fact 2 toilets, one shower inside (super cute) & a nice outdoor shower. One block to the beach, 2 blocks to coffee/breakfast spot at North End Cafe, it is a great home and a great location. Will rent again.

The first part of our experience was opening up the door and seeing 3 cockroaches scurry for cover. An unsettling beginning. The rest of the home was clean. We were less than satisfied with some of the amenities and extras for the bathroom/kitchen. ie: no basic spices (salt and pepper), a single roll of toilet paper. Perhaps it is a new level of expectations set by AirBnB, but it felt lacking in some ways. The layout of the house was also a bit strange in that there was a game/social room/space, but you had to go outside and walk to the bottom of the house to get there. Given it was raining most of the time we were there, we never ended up using it because it would require getting wet from the rain any time you needed to get something or use the room.
