This upper level 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom duplex offers a great location and partial ocean views. Outdoor enthusiasts will love watching the birds nesting in the dunes at Masonboro Inlet and grilling out in the side yard under the shade of a large live oak tree.

As you approach the home you will instantly be pleased by the spacious covered porch that is lined with rocking chairs. Enjoy soaking in the salt air and partial ocean views as you rock your worries away and shift onto island time! The living room is furnished with a large comfortable sectional sofa and pleasing coastal décor. A partial open floor plan offers a great living and dining area with bar seating. The bar opens to a galley kitchen and makes the common area of this home ideal for gathering and enjoying quality time with loved ones. A sizable kitchen table offers seating for six people and there is plenty of space for visitors at the bar that overlooks the kitchen.

Down the hall you will find a spacious master suite that features bright and cheerful furnishings. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, private bathroom, and provides direct access to the rear deck overlooking the shaded back yard. A nearby queen guest bedroom provides a comfortable retreat for your guests and the neighboring bedroom is furnished with a full and twin sized bed – great for children or additional guests. There is direct access to the back deck from the double room so that you can maximize your outdoor time.

The back yard features a grill and picnic table is shared between the upper and lower unit. For larger family gatherings, rent the upper unit W373 The Gray Whale Lower, for a total of 6 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, dining and living areas! Contact us directly for details and availability.

Great location on the South End....price reflects the age of the unit compared to other units on the south end....good price considering the location but you have to expect that the unit is "older" in most ways.

Kenneth, we appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback! This upper level duplex does some charming qualities, making it perfect for those who love the older beach house feeling. However, the house has been updated with newer living room furniture, and bedding in all the bedrooms. One of the best aspects of this home is the covered porch, which we hope you took advantage of during your stay! We hope the majority of your time with us was enjoyable and that you'll stay with us again for your next vacation!

This rental is just a few steps from the beach access and sound access so you're not far from surfing or kayaking. Plenty of parking - we had three cars and could have squeezed in one more. Walking distance to Sundays Cafe (I recommend The Web) and Oceanic Restaurant/pier. Great surf spot right across the street, beautiful clean beach. The place itself is comfortable and spacious. Kitchen is perfect if you eat out - bring a good knife with you if you plan to cook and maybe a big pot if you want to make pasta or steam some seafood. Love the wrap-around deck with stair access in the front and back. Nice yard and grilling area out back. Enough room to entertain - had the kids and their college friends for dinner. Would stay here again for sure.
