Description

Welcome to "Good Times"! This oceanfront cottage is perfect for a family group of eight or less. "Good Times" is a four bedroom, two bath vintage fishermen’s cottage with modern updates in Kure Beach. If you are a fan of rustic, knotty-pine wood and one-floor living, you will love this house!

Enter through the kitchen and dining area and head towards the oceanfront living area that is bright and spacious, and leads outside to the rooftop deck. There is an enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower and private beach access. The four bedrooms are off of the hallway between the kitchen and into the living room. Along the way you will find a bedroom with two Twin beds, two bedrooms with Queen beds and the full hallway bath. The primary bedroom has a King bed with an en suite full bath.

In addition to being oceanfront, "Good Times " is only a few blocks from the Kure Beach Fishing Pier and a short drive to the Ft. Fisher Historic Museum, the Civil War battleground and the NC Aquarium. While in the area, be sure to check out the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, where you will find shops, restaurants and the summer activities such as fireworks, carnival rides and live music. Watch the fishermen come in with the catch of the day at the marina or dine out with the family. Make plans today to stay in beautiful Kure Beach!

Parking: Parking area is 35' x 20' and will accommodate four cars or two large trucks/SUV's. Parking on the lawn is not allowed and will result in a $250 fine.

We were a bit disappointed that we couldn’t see the beach from any window in the house, but really enjoyed the rooftop deck, especially after we bought an umbrella.

We had a wonderful time at this rental. The home was well appointed, clean and neat when we arrived. We really appreciated the keyless entry and loved the closeness of the beach with our own private boardwalk. The rooftop deck was outstanding!! I would rent this home again!

The house was perfect! We had six guests and everyone had somewhere to sleep. It was extremely clean and well-decorated and comfortable. Right on the beach, too - we kept the windows open so we could hear the ocean! The porch up top had a perfect view of the beach and we spent most of our time up there. Everyone loved this house and we would definitely rent it again! Bryant Real Estate was also easy to work with - they responded quickly to all questions, had an app that made everything simple (it had information about the keyless checkin, trash day, weather forecast, and even places to eat nearby), and were very polite. Thanks to the house owners and to Bryant Real Estate!

Was perfect getaway. Home was very clean, comfortable for my family [mom, niece & her family with small kids] House was spotless upon arrival and could tell extra measures had been put in place for COVID transmission prevention.

Our family typically stays in a busy condo in Garden City SC. We wanted to try something quiet when I was booking last December - something more family oriented. We could not have picked a better year to try quiet with COVID-19 included in our plans! The beach in front of the house was pretty much ours so there was no "Social distancing" concern. The house was just as we expected. We knew it was a smaller house and would be a little cramped but that is kind of what we wanted. We wanted to have a location where the only thing to do was to enjoy each others company, play board games, and sit on the beach. The location of the house is great - this area is kept up much better than Carolina Beach. We would come back again. That being said, the owner could address a few things. The master bedrooms was FREEZING. We ended up closing all our vents and had to keep our door open at night. I slept in sweatpants and a long sleeved shirt. If we changed the temperature in the house then everyone else was sweating all night. The master bathroom door lock was a little hard to unlock. The other bathroom door was repaired while on site because people kept getting locked in. The first two steps up going towards the beach were repaired some while I was onsite. One of the steps was slanting downwards which led to me falling twice. I am sure code does not require a handrail but it would be nice if one was installed. The step remained a little slanted probably because there was nothing to nail to - at least what we got our of the conversation the repairman was having with himself:) And one little thing, every paper plate we placed on the kitchen table had to be pealed back off. At first we thought it was because the food was hot but then it happened with cold food as well. Not sure what was causing it. After we had been in the house a few hours we noticed our grandson was finding things on the floor and putting them in his mouth. Upon closer look the rug was really dirty.

This is a perfect little cottage on the beach. It's not fancy, but you don't need fancy for the beach.

The rental experience with Bryant was great. Everything was very convenient and the house was clean ready to go. Good Times was a nice size for our family of four but I would not recommend it for a larger group. The location was amazing since it was a good distance from away from public beach access, condos, and hotels. It felt as if we had the beach to ourselves. The number one complaint we had was that the beds were very uncomfortable. So much so that we had to buy a mattress pad to get through the week and very really had a good nights rest. Secondly, since the house is not raised, there isn't a beach view unless you go up on the deck and since it isn't a covered porch, when it rains there is no view at all. And lastly, they need to upgrade the living room furniture. Unless you have small kids, the living is very small and the furniture is dated and uncomfortable.

Spacious Beach House

We enjoyed our stay at this ocean front property. Our family of 6 visited the beach over Memorial Day weekend. The house is much bigger that it appears from the street. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms were clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals during our stay. There is a rooftop deck with great views of the ocean. Not much privacy on the rooftop, close to neighbors.
Location was great, only a mile walk to the pier.
THe downside to the house is there are no ocean views from inside the house. And there were bugs. When we arrived there were several dead waterbugs on the floor. We continued to see live waterbugs throughout our stay, especially in the bedrooms.
Other than the bugs and the lack of view from the inside, the house was great.
