Spent July 4th week here with family and dog. We had wonderful week. The pictures represent the house . It was comfortable and had great views. We loved the deck and beach access. Only complaint house does need deep cleaning and there is alot of construction in area. However this would not keep us from renting home again.

This is a true old school beachbox! This is what used to be all over the island back many years ago and I wish more still existed. We loved the home. It could use some deep cleaning, but we really enjoyed our stay! The house is comfortable, and there are many seating options for whatever mood you are in. The beach access is perfect and convenient. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

I had imagined sitting on the porch listening to the waves at night....I heard the goings and comings of neighbors and had to listen to other folks' music. During the day there were noises from construction work nearby that you heard in house. We had to go out and purchase bug spray....discovered ants in kitchen and they got in our jeep! Bedrooms could use shades that block more light at night. If you don't mind noise then it's fine....you can tell it has age on it and I felt better after cleaning light switches and bathrooms...this is just me. I should have checked out location a little closer. Pictures online always look better then in person.

The place was nice. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch. We ate all of our meals out there. Kitchen was well stocked.
Two complaints - no DVD player as advertised, and the walk to the beach once the walkway ends is quite treacherous. Slippery with rocks and no railing. Also, the brush needs to be cut back.

Nice location. Wonderful stay at the beach. House was clean. Could use some updates, some boards were loose on the deck, the trail to the beach could be trimmed back. Overall great property.

We had an enjoyable time. Loved that the house was next door to Freeman Park which gave us space to move about. The house was in working condition. Screened-in porch, water pressure, bedroom space, and back porch were all very nice. The couch was a bit uncomfortable, master bedroom tv should be on the wall, and maybe another tv in the next bedroom, also would’ve liked better cookware. Would liked to have had a vacuum and more cleaning supplies to leave things the way we found them. Proximity was great and cooking areas were nice as well.

Great location on Carolina Beach right next to Freeman Park, where dogs are allowed on the beach. The home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen has almost everything necessary to cook, but no salt, pepper, etc. The checker table in the screened in porch is awesome! The walkway to the beach and the table/chairs near the ocean are perfect! We ended up renting a grill and two umbrellas from Got Shade, a wonderful company with great customer service!

Everyone enjoyed the weekend. So nice to be able to walk out directly onto the beach. Sunrise was beautiful! Also spent the evenings on the screened porch playing board games. Good communication with property manager and keyless entry worked great. Looking forward to going back again.

Historic single family home that is pet friendly! This is the second house south of Freeman Park, accessed just through the entrance. Bring your 4x4 and enjoy driving on the beach where you can truly get away from the crowds. "T.J. House" was featured in a TV special about Seal Team Six and it boasts some of the most spectacular sunrise views anywhere. You'll enjoy three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, as well as a private walkway to the beach. There is also a small screened-in porch and an outdoor shower on the ocean front deck.

There is a Queen bedroom, another with a Full bed and the third bedroom features a pyramid bunk with a Twin over a Full bed. There is also a pull-out sofa in the living room, for sleeping accommodations for up to 9. There is plenty of parking for 3 cars. Note that the washer/dryer is located in the basement which cannot be accessed from inside the home.

Make your plans now to enjoy this quaint and comfortable beachfront cottage with your family and your dogs. You're already at Freeman Park, so you'll have an expansive beach to play or relax. Bring your rods and head just a short walk to the North End pier or toss a line from the surf and test your luck. Whatever you decide to do, "T.J. House" will surely be a place you want to come back to year after year.

Pet Policy: Dogs welcome as an optional add-on for this property with a non-refundable fee of $250 + tax that is charged per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs per reservation. Charge will be added after booking if not selected at checkout and added at a later time.   Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).
