Initially had a problem gaining entrance. There was a rotary dial to a key box beside the front Sliding door. Checked one back door but no key pad. A nice lady named Deanna helped me by suggesting I try a back door and the other back door had a keypad to use to get in. The instructions should alert the guest to the rear entrance door!

The Happy Daze rental was just that, a good location for us with our dog. The back yard being fenced was a plus for us and the out building with nice beach chairs was an added plus for not to have to try to pack them and bring from home. Kitchen was very well stocked IF you want to cook on vacation. Quiet area and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Grass needs to be cut WEEKLY. Difficult to clean up after dogs when the grass is high. Dirt Devil needs to be replaced. I vacuum bc i have dogs atleast once or twice a week. If the cleaning crew is using that vacuum cleaner they likely aren’t doing a good job. The mattresses are painful. I won’t stay there again. It is a shame bc it is a lovely home, lovely neighbors and so close to the beach. And your maintenance guy is rude. Office staff were awesome. A/C on carport area needs to be serviced yearly per the weekend A/C visit we had to have.

Marenda, Thank you for your feedback. The owner handles the yard maintenance of the property with their own vendor, however we can most certainly recommend a more frequent service. The vacuum in the property is for guest use, our cleaning crews utilize their own vacuums and cleaning supplies. We will provide your feedback on the mattresses to the owner. We apologize if your interaction with our maintenance staff was less than stellar and we will investigate this issue. We are glad that you enjoyed the location and the neighbors!

**Update - New mattresses have been ordered and should be in the unit next week!**

The house was in a great location with easy access to the beach and local attractions. Everything was within walking distance. The house was well equipped but could have used a more thorough cleaning. Otherwise our stay was perfect!

We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. The house is comfortably and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. The dogs had plenty of room to play chase in the fenced backyard. We loved it so much we booked it for two weeks in the spring.

You'll want to spend all of your "Happy Daze" right here in Kure Beach just around the corner from the Pier. This two-bedroom and two-bathroom cottage is perfect for couples or families and the furriest members in your group. The dogs will love the large, fenced in backyard, where you will find the primary entrance, and the people will love the modern kitchen and comfortable amenities. Please note that to gain entry to the property, you will need to utilize the entrance on the backside of the cottage.

In the bedrooms you'll find a Queen bed in the primary room, then a Full plus a Twin bed in the guest room. If that is not enough there is a sleeper sofa in the Living Room. Speaking of not enough, if the two inside showers are full, pop outside for a shower al fresco. You'll find a great patio and grill out there too. Inside we've got fast wireless internet and a Keurig coffee maker so a fresh cup of joe is never far away.

The property is within walking distance to the Kure Beach Pier and all the fun restaurants around. Kure Beach is a fantastic place to enjoy great dining, fishing on the pier, a day at the aquarium or the historic Fort Fisher, or simply relax and soak up the sun on the beautiful beach. Enjoy a satisfying burger at Beach House Burger’s or the calabash style seafood at Big Daddy’s Restaurant! Spectacular sunrises, occasional dolphins, friendly townspeople and a laid back vibe make this the perfect place to vacation year after year. Parking: Parking for two vehicles in driveway.
Pet Policy: Dogs welcome as an optional add-on for this property with a non-refundable fee of $250 + tax that is charged per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs per reservation. Charge will be added after booking if not selected at checkout.

Prohibited: Smoking, RV’s, Boats, Boat Trailers, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.
