Our dogs as all dogs do, explore and discovered this. thankfully they aren't runners but we did have more worry with them since it wasn't fully inclosed.

If it were I, I would forgo the small closet in the east bedroom and expand the shower into that space to make the unit accessible, since it is first floor and all.
