While I loved the location, and the placed I stayed in general. We did find it run-down, shabby, not very clean, and the handrail to the upstairs balcony was downright dangerous. There was also no remote for the upstairs television, which was annoying. Bryant Real Estate was very good to work with, but we will be giving Bob's Place a pass for the future.

We enjoyed our stay at Bob’s Place! We have small kids and they really liked having an upstairs and downstairs. Critiques include: We were cooking a lot of our own meals and had some issues with the stove. Only two of the four burners work, and the oven controls are incorrect for setting temperature. For the amount of money it cost, it felt very cheap to have such an old and non-functional stove. Also the distance to the walkway to the beach was a little much because we didnt feel comfortable sending our kids back to the house or to the beach without an accompanying adult. Other than that, we loved the property, location, and balconies! We would definitely stay here again!

With the 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs, it gives more room for family to enjoy the large living area downstairs. Did you enjoy the 2 ocean front decks? The location and views from the balconies were fantastic. As others have stated the condo is somewhat outdated. We found the check in process easy and the unit was clean.

We enjoyed our stay at Bob's place. The view from the balconies was excellent, and the rolling surf noise was soothing while we stayed here. It is in a great location close enough to businesses but not too close to crowds. Wish we could have stayed longer! Check in/out was a breeze.

The location is amazing being right on the beach but the balcony was the best part of the whole place. We all took off our shoes once we got in the house and within 10 minutes our feet were black. The carpet almost felt sticky. Unfortunately that was enough for it to feel dirty in there. We could not get the tv to work for it asked for an access code which I had never seen before. The rental company did email me back but by that time we were leaving. I would not stay at this rental ever again.

Overall had a great covid experience! Beautiful views with a perfect location,the beach was wide and visited our favorite places! Rental was outdated, not cleaned and needed repairs. Would choose different condo. Carpet was not swept: piles of sand, crumbs and random debris all over. Stains on furniture. Downstairs half bath: Blinds were broke/bent, wallpaper peeling off walls and no towel rack. Kitchen had old but good working appliances. Master bedroom: washer/dryer accordion door cracked and off track at times, very old. Water damage and cracks in every corner of walls and tall lamp shade very dirty with stains. Upstairs bathrooms: stains and dirty marks on sink cabinets and rugs. We called to make sure our condo had in fact been cleaned before arrival and were told someone would be back out to clean, however no one showed and we had to clean ourselves.

The property was better than advertised. There were a few small issues, but maintenance was quick to arrive and fix them. COVID restrictions were a bit of a nuisance for check in, but understandable. The door codes need to be reset for daylight savings time. I had to get another code for entry upon arrival because my keyless code wouldn't work until 5pm.

Because of the Coronavirus we couldn't even walk on the beach, but the view was spectacular. Listening to the ocean all day was very soothing.

Great location on the quiet end of the beach. The condo is a bit dated and could use some refreshing, but the location and ocean views can't be beat at this price point! We enjoyed our time here and plan to come back soon. Bryant RE was very easy to work with, no problems at all with check in/out, etc.

The townhouse was right on the beach with great views from the main deck and upper deck. I was surprised to be so close to the beach but not have a breeze while sitting on the decks. This could have been due to the weather. However, it felt great on the beach which was not crowded which we love.

Location is perfect! You just can't beat the views. My only suggestion would be for the owner to upgrade mattresses in bedrooms. They were very uncomfortable. We made the best of it and enjoyed our vacation. Overall I would stay again but only if upgrades were done in kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. It seriously needs it and is very outdated.

The condo was perfect for our family vacation. The master bedroom has the balcony overlooking the ocean and it was lovely to wake up to every morning. Kitchen was stocked nicely with anything we needed. Indoor pool was nice to have on the 1 day we had rain. It gave the kids some entertainment. They also loved the outdoor pool as well. The beach was nice and quiet in front of the condo yet not far from plenty of entertainment and restaurants if desired. We had great contact with the property maintenance if needed. I downloaded the app i had everything there I could possibly have questions about. We definitely are coming back!

Found this property on the VRBO website. Dear people, do not rent through them. Instead, go to Bryant Real Estate. Unbeknown to me VRBO tacked $111 to our bill for their "services". Other than than we had an enjoyable stay, though the interior of the house could use a little updating.

Enjoyed the location and thought the condo was clean . Did receive s call that the upstairs toilet needed repair . There were two so did not know which one . Agency stated the plumber would be there between 4 and 430. We waited to unpack until he came but he never did come. He had gotten there earlier which was nice but I would have liked to have known. No call to let me know of the repair. Did not want to flush toilet and risk water damage. Also found owners closet unlocked and there was no dryer available .

Unortunately, they do not always let us know when they complete the work, or if they were able to get it done early. I do apologize that that you were not notified that they work was complete. The washer/dryer is stack unit and are located upstairs in the hall closet, there has not been any reports that either of those are not working properly, but we will certainly take a look into that. We hope that you had a nice vacation and that you will come back next year.

The title of this review really says it all...you just cannot beat the location of the condo...right on the beach and in the quieter Ft Fisher area of Kure Beach. We went for a few day escape and hardly left the deck, but activities are not far.

That said, the unit itself desperately needs updating and some reno-maintenance. It's small so I cant imagine more than 3 or 4 people max being comfortable there. It was OK for us except for the mattresses which were way to soft (queen) and way to lumpy (twins). Also not what I would call a fully equipped kitchen. Bottom line - we would rent from Bryant again (they were really good) but not this unit, though it might work for others.

Loved the accommodation, very clean and a great location. We felt very at home. Hated to leave. Only downside outdoor pool was not open, understandable for early April. I would still have liked to sit by the pool since it is protected from the breeze. Due to limited hours did not get to take advantage of the indoor pool. We enjoyed the day out and about or walking the beach, would have enjoyed the indoor pool in the evening but it was closed.

I love Kure Beach and have visited there several times & will stay here again. Always feels like home & is a very peaceful area. This is the second time I have stayed in Bob's Place. I love the way the unit is set up with a covered deck, (very private)on bottom and open deck up top off bedroom. Bryant Real Estate also does a good job coordinating all aspects of the reservation from beginning to end. Unit could use a more detailed cleaning. A little dusty, but clean bathrooms etc.

Great location, just feet from the beach. HVAC unit was awesome! It was hot out and that was very much a great amentity. We were right next to the pool which was also a plus for my son. The beds weren’t the most comfortable and the mattress topper made it hot sometimes, but not bad by any means. Bob’s place has a sweet mini-bar but I would say it maybe time for a renovation, it was a little bit dated. Kitchen needs an upgrade, but I would definitely recommend Bob’s place. Overall, a great stay

We were looking for a great place to escape to for the long weekend and Bob's Place was perfect for our family of 4. What we loved most was the location, close to all of the Kure/Carolina Beach activities and restaurants but further down the beach enough to enjoy a less crowded stretch of sand.

The location was great. Just a short distance to beach and pool. The condo was well decorated and in good condition. My only concern was the bedding provided. The twin beds would be great for small children but not a person with osteoporosis and arthritis. The downstairs sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable. When I asked if I could be reimbursed for purchasing foam padding , I was told the owner would not do it. I purchased my own. I would suggest foam padding for twin beds and sleeper sofa for a more restful sleep. Beside this issue the condo was great!

The spacious primary bedroom has a Queen bed and attached full bath, while the second bedroom has two Twin beds and utilizes the full hall bath. The half bath is located as you come in the front door. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room seating and a flat screen TV.

Ocean Dunes is an ideal year-round vacation spot for families! Located at the southern end of Pleasure Island, in Kure Beach next to Historic Fort Fisher, Ocean Dunes occupies one mile of beachfront with several private beach walkways. Included with your reservation is access to all the amenities Ocean Dunes offers, as well as the Recreation Center. Amenities include three outdoor pools, a children's playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and cornhole. The Recreation Center has an indoor pool, whirlpool/spa, gym, saunas, and showers.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events.
