It was great!! Perfect!! The primary issue was the steps out on the boat slip had a lot of barnacles on it and could severely cut up your feet. This is a safety hazard. I would suggest the steps be upgraded to one that could slide up out of the water when not being used. Also - even though maintenance stopped by to fix it, we were still not able to get cable.

The locationm the view and the private dock were amazing and made this place worthwhile. on the not as great side, you have to go to a remote office first to pick up keys instead of just putting a lock box on the door and the kitchenwas almsot comnpletely empty. no dish soap, no paper towel,

Hi Derek- The majority of our properties do indeed have keyless entry which allows for contactless check-in, this one has opted to remain with a hard key. Thats the great thing about our office, we're right over the bridge as you enter the beach! Unlike hotels, we only supply a starter pack of kitchen & bathr soaps along with paper products. There may be left over from prervious travelers that guests can most certainaly help themselve to, but we can only guarantee the starter pack. Thanks for staying with us, its a great little bungalow right on the canal, definitely perfect for those who enjoy the water activities!

"Boat Dock Bungalow" is a single-family home that has been completely remodeled down to the studs, offers a boat slip, has amazing water views and is only one block from the beach. This two bedroom sleeps and entertains more like a 3 bedroom due to the benefit of the loft.

Whether you enjoy coffee in the morning, or a cocktail at the end of the day, you will cherish the moments spent on the back porch, watching the boaters, fishers, and the occasional dolphin. With the beach just a short walk away, you get the best of both worlds. On windy days when the ocean might be to rough for the little ones, the family can gather on the dock for some fun in the sun and the calmer waters.

When you arrive, you will find parking in the driveway or under the home to keep the summer heat off of your vehicles. Scaling one level of stairs to access the main part of the house you are greeted by a completely remodeled home. As you walk in, you will find an open concept with a comfortable and well-appointed modern living room and adjacent kitchen and dining area. Guests quickly find their way to start stocking the fridge so that they may enjoy, entertain, and feast during their much-deserved vacation! Brand-new stainless-steel appliances and an extremely well stocked kitchen are sure to please the most critical chef in the family.

The main floor has two separate bedrooms, each with a Full bed, fresh linens, and TV’s - everything you need and nothing you don’t. This floor also has 2 full baths that, like the rest of the home, have been completely redone. You will absolutely love all the personal touches the owner has provided for your stay.

From the main area you find an open staircase that leads to a lofted area with 2 Full beds, desk, tv, and separate mini split HVAC to keep everyone cool and happy on those hot summer nights. This area is great for the kiddos!

"Boat Dock Bungalow" is finally complete with the personal brand-new floating dock and private gazebo. Come and enjoy fishing, picnicking, or simply enjoying that fresh ocean breeze, this is the place you have been searching for. You will spend plenty of time out here, whether in the sun or protected by the shade, and memories will be shared by all.

If you need water access but not a large home, or if you simply would ENJOY the perks it provides, this one is the gem for you.

While you are on Pleasure Island, be sure to take in a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean and watch for playful dolphins swimming by often. You'll want to visit the Boardwalk area and enjoy some Britt's Doughnuts or a scoop of ice cream while the kids delight in the carnival rides. Take a trip down to Fort Fisher and visit the NC Aquarium, or drive your 4wd vehicle out onto the Beach at Freeman Park. There's fireworks every Thursday night in the summer, and the Farmer's Market at the lake on Saturdays is wonderful. Whatever you decide to do, you are sure to make lifelong memories!

Prohibited: Smoking, Pets Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).
