Fall

The current school year is definitely shaping up to be one for the history books. Puns aside, we, at Bryant Real Estate, truly feel for families and teachers struggling with this challenging remote or partially remote learning environment. That said, there may be a silver lining. If you’re in a situation where you are able to learn (and work) remotely, we welcome you to consider joining us along the Carolina Coast this fall and winter.

Unsure about traveling right now? We understand, but there is a reason that vacation rentals have remained popular accommodation throughout this unusual travel period. You, the guest, are in control of your own surroundings. Vacation rentals are typically more spacious than a hotel option and there are similar comforts to that of your own home. The only difference? Your backyard is the beautiful North Carolina coast.

Tips for Remote School and Work at the NC Beach

Why should I do it? Is it worth it? The short answer is yes, but we’re here to provide some more insight, information, and peace of mind to plan a remote learning and working trip in our area.

Reliable and Fast Wireless Internet Access

Fast Wi-Fi is invariably a key component to a successful distance learning and working trip. You and your children need to be able to easily access the internet from your devices. All Bryant vacation rentals provide high-speed internet access. However, in the off-chance that anything does happen, a power outage, a service issue, etc., you can rest assured knowing your nearby Bryant Real Estate property managers are just a quick call and drive away.

Local Field Trips & Opportunities to Learn

Wilmington area beaches are home to several historical attractions that provide children with excellent and unique learning experiences. Organize a field trip or two to one of these sites:

  • Fort Fisher State Historic SiteVisitors are invited to tour the remains of the fort's land face featuring an impressive reconstruction of a 32-pounder seacoast gun at Shepherd's Battery.
  • Moores Creek National Battlefield - The Battle of Moore's Creek Bridge was a battle of the American Revolutionary War fought near Wilmington in present-day Pender County, North Carolina on February 27, 1776.
  • USS North Carolina - The USS North Carolina became the first of ten fast battleships to join the American fleet in World War II. Tour this extraordinary piece of history today.

Wilmington-area Suppliers for Remote Learning/Working Needs

If you need school or office supplies at any point, Office Depot, located in Wilmington, is a quick drive away from Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach.

If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing immediate laptop/computer repairs, A Plus Computer Repairs and Computer Warriors, Inc., both located in Wilmington and both come highly recommended.

NC Coastal Time Means Quiet Time

Beach time is probably a little different than home time in most cases unless of course you already live at the beach, and, well, then, lucky you. At the beach, everything is just a little slower and calmer when you’re feet or within a couple of blocks of the sand and waves. After a stressful spring, summer school, and now fall of learning and working at home, we’d wager that you’re craving some peace and quiet right about now. While you’re staying in one of our spacious beach rentals, everyone in your tribe has space to spread out to relax and learn at their own speed, indoors or out.

We invite you to take in the silence (with the exception of soothing waves) with Bryant Real Estate. It sounds pretty nice, doesn’t it?

Change Can Be a Good Thing

There are many reasons why we need a vacation. In addition to simply taking a break, changing up your locale for a week, two weeks, or even a long-term stay can really change your state of mind, for the better. It’s no secret that people of all ages are battling all sorts of mental health issues right now. Easy, hassle-free access to the sun, sand, and surf can help combat some of those challenges. At lunch hour, we suggest getting the whole house outside for a beach picnic. A little time away from screens is a great way to reset focus and inspiration. Plus, a morning or evening beach jog for the parents is a great activity for alleviating stress.

Breathe in the healing ocean air, enjoy the scenic vista, and take a moment for yourself. You deserve it.
